Geotechnical Drilling Services
Construction projects require careful planning. A big part of that process is making sure engineers have a clear understanding of the exact nature of the land that will be used for construction.That's why geotechnical drilling is such an important technique. Located in Bowling Green, Kentucky with Two Geoprobe 7822DT's, SSL Geotechnical is able to serve South Central Kentucky better than drillers mobilizing from other areas. Giving you more time on site and less time mobilizing equipment. In addition, SSL Geotechnical utilizes High Accuracy sub-meter GPS equipment to pinpoint drilling locations to within 30cm accuracy.
Hollow Stem Auger & SPT Testing
Using our Geoprobe 7822dt with it's DH103 auto drop hammer we are able to gather industry standard soil density data. Combine that with the split spoon samples collected through hollow-stem augers and engineers have the raw data needed to design your structure. The Geoprobe 7822 is an extremely efficient compact machine. The technology developed by Geoprobe allows our company to get more production for your day rate.
Direct Push & Environmental
Geoprobe pioneered Direct push subsurface sampling technology in the 1980's and early 1990's. A direct push machine "pushes" soil sampling tools, instruments, and sensors (soil probes) into the ground without the use of rotary drilling to remove soil to make a path for the tool string. We use the DT22 Dual Tube system to acquire soil samples or to set temporary Monitoring wells. For temporary monitoring wells we provide a stand-alone peristaltic Cole Palmer pump to capture groundwater samples. We are a licensed Kentucky Monitoring well Driller Cert # 0561-0665-00.
